Attending a Marriage Retreat is a big decision. It can be overwhelming to choose the right retreat for you and your spouse.
That’s why we take a different approach than most. The following reasons make my retreat different from others. Take the first step in the right direction by reading through the following information regarding my retreat.
Many other retreats group different couples together and leave you feeling unimportant and like just another number to the therapists. Many times broad topics are covered without getting to the heart of your individual issues.
In our retreat, we offer small individualized sessions with just one therapist, you, and your partner in which we focus on the issues that you face as a couple. All sessions will be led by me, so the couple and myself will be able to develop an openness and a relationship instead of switching from counselor to counselor.
This goes hand-in-hand with number one, but is an added bonus of working with individual couples. Nobody likes meeting people and immediately revealing facts about yourself and your marriage that make you look or feel weak or like you are not in control of your life.
It is also no secret that many couples feel uncomfortable – or even embarrassed – about the sensitive topic of their marriage difficulties. However, by being in a private setting, couples feel more comfortable revealing this sensitive information and coming to terms with their marital issues.
At my retreat, we use proven methods that flat out work. By using a proven method to assist couples, I can all but guarantee resolution of issues if the couple is willing to give their full attention to the therapy.
In addition to the our success-proof method, every therapist on our staff is a licensed marriage and family therapist.
Many couples want to go to a marriage retreat, but lack the time. Other retreats run a week-long couples therapy program, which eats up the time that many have saved for other vacations or obligations.
People are busy and it is understandably hard to find the time to focus on your relationship, which is why I have created an extended-weekend retreat format for my program.
The retreat is offered for three to four days (typically spanning a long weekend), but is delivered in an intensive format, meaning that the same amount of therapy hours are offered as would be included in a typical week-long retreat.
Affairs are painful and it is tough to recover mentally from infidelity of a partner. But with my program, developed over the past 10 years, I will help you through the process to heal from the hurt that accompanies affairs.
While many programs skip over this vital area, I have created a special Affair Recovery Program that focuses on the process of dealing with affairs and facing and overcoming the heartbreak that comes as a result of affairs.
Kokomo, Indiana is a beautiful and scenic location, full of breathtaking views and calming sights and sounds. It is the perfect location to calm and revive your marriage. Spend time with your significant other taking in our wooded cabins.
From the information given above, it should be clear that my program differs greatly from other retreats that are offered for couple therapy.
My retreat is a unique format with individualized and personalized therapy for you and your significant other. I will take the time to help you focus on your relationship and the love and commitment that you share, while respecting your privacy.
